The Bridge Between Science and Soul

While studying psychology, I discovered Carl Jung — the psychologist who first coined the term “the shadow.” He was one of the first to explore how the psyche and the soul are intertwined. That was my “aha” moment — the realization that astrology and psychology aren’t opposites, they’re different ways of reading the same map. Science just hasn’t fully caught up yet.

The Seeker’s Path

I was raised in a religious family, but for much of my life I identified as agnostic. In my late twenties, something shifted — I became spiritually curious and started exploring beyond traditional frameworks. What I found was an astounding wealth of knowledge I’d never been exposed to, which reignited my passion for seeking answers to life’s mysteries.

As I learned various spiritual practices, my understanding deepened. I began connecting the dots — seeing how everything I’d studied in astrology, psychology, and even religious paradigms fit together in ways that transcended any one system. It became clear that none of it had been random; it was preparing me for the work I do now through Shadow & Spirit.

The Awakening

In the fall of 2024, my world turned upside down. My spiritual gifts intensified overnight, and honestly, I wondered if I was losing my mind. The researcher in me took over. I needed to understand what was happening — even if the answer was “you’ve finally cracked.” What I found instead was a spiritual awakening.

As I dug back into astrology, I saw the patterns — the timing, the transits, the lessons. Everything I was experiencing was reflected in my chart. It wasn’t chaos; it was initiation. That’s when Shadow & Spirit truly took form: research and revelation, logic and intuition, shadow and light.

Fate and Free Will

People assume believing in astrology means believing everything is pre-determined. I don’t believe that. I believe both fate and free will can be true. Think of fate as the variables — the cosmic framework, the opportunities and connections that appear like checkpoints in your story. Free will is how you choose to engage with them.

Meeting someone might be “fated,” but what happens next — whether that becomes a relationship, a lesson, or a missed connection — is your choice. Multiple possibilities exist at once, and what you choose through free will becomes your reality. That dance between fate and freedom is at the heart of how I approach astrology and healing.

Today, I use astrology, psychology, and wisdom from spiritual practices as tools for healing and transformation. Through Shadow & Spirit, I help you decode your energy — not to predict the future, but to understand your patterns, purpose, and potential. This isn’t fear-based astrology or spiritual manipulation. It’s self-honesty, compassion, and learning to work with your energy instead of fighting it.
